Privacy Policy

Gimmie (the "App") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

  • Account & Contact Information. If you join the beta or contact support, we collect your email address and any information you provide (e.g., name, message details).
  • Usage & Diagnostics. We may collect limited, aggregated analytics (e.g., screens viewed, feature engagement, crash/diagnostic data) to improve performance and reliability.
  • Location Data. The App uses your device location to provide golf GPS distances. Location is processed on‑device and as needed to deliver core functionality. You can control location access in iOS Settings.
  • Support Content. When you email us, we receive the information you include in your message (and any attachments) to help resolve the issue.

How We Use Information

  • Provide core features (GPS distances, scorekeeping) and operate the App.
  • Communicate about the beta, updates, and important changes (with your consent where required).
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Analyze aggregate usage to improve accuracy, performance, and design.

Third‑Party Services

We use trusted providers to run the App. These partners process limited data on our behalf and under agreements that restrict their use of your information:

  • Email & Waitlist. We use Klaviyo to manage the beta waitlist and email delivery. If you opt in, your email (and optional name) are stored to send beta invitations and updates.
  • Apple. Apple may collect diagnostic information (e.g., via App Store, TestFlight, and iOS crash logs) subject to Apple's privacy policies.
  • Analytics (minimal). We may use privacy‑respecting analytics to measure aggregate usage without creating user profiles.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, and then delete or de‑identify it, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep risk low and proportional.

Your Choices

  • Email. You can unsubscribe from beta emails at any time via the link in the message.
  • Location. Control location access in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
  • Deletion & Access. You can request access or deletion of your data by emailing privacy@gimmiegolf.app.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us to delete it.

International Users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We apply protections consistent with this policy regardless of where processing occurs.

California & European Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@gimmiegolf.app.

Do Not Track

The App does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals. We limit tracking by design and avoid creating profiles.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, when changes are material, we will provide additional notice in the App or by email.
